and around Briarcliff/Ossining/Pleasantville. It's quite good, they deliver, |

and they have solid Japanese food (teriyaki, etc.) in addition to standard |

good sushi and sashimi, variety of sakes. Good lunch place. A small sushi |

bar, rosewood chairs, warm beige tones and soft lighting define the simple |
|
|
but quaint setting at Yam Fuji Sushi, where a traditional menu of Japanese |
|
|
fare and sushi make it a reliable neighborhood favorite. The menu features |
|
|
hot and cold appetizers, noodle soups and Japanese barbecue standards |
|
|
including salmon, beef, chicken and vegetable teriyaki and negimaki that |
|
|
will neither surprise nor disappoint. The specialty rolls however, are more |
|
|
impressive. The Chillmark Roll, a combination of yellowtail and spicy fluke |
|
|
wrapped with salmon, eel and tuna, results in a particularly appetizing blend |
|
|
of flavors. And the duo of eel and spicy sauces in the 2005Roll, an |
|
|
innovative blackened tuna and asparagus roll topped with white tuna, adds |
|
|
an appealing kick that works well with the slightly smoky flavor of the tuna. |
